Week in Review: June 13th - 17th

Greg - President:
Wow, where has the time gone? We're already half way through the month of June-- sure is hard to believe!

Starting off the week, I took part in the IREM Golf Tournament while Shalee and Kelly manned Hole #1 as a sponsor. The tournament was held at Minnesota Valley Country Club. The day started off a little chilly and windy but later warmed up to 75 degrees with tons of sun. It was a great day!

This week we also started up our newest account, the large technical school that we all have mentioned on the blog a few times in the past few weeks. Joe Choplin, our Director of Operations from corporate in Kansas City flew up to assist us with the new start-- BIG thanks goes out to Joe. Thanks for your effort and endless knowledge, Joe! After only a few days, the facility could not look any better, the crew is getting to know the "ins & outs" of the account quickly, and the clients are extremely pleased.

I was able to devote a day to driving around with Jarrad as he visited his accounts. I am so impressed with how well he is doing in such a short amount of time-- he's catching on to his duties and responsibilities extremely well and seems to have a "nack" for all that City Wide strives to give our clients. I am confident that his accounts are in exceptional hands with Jarrad servicing them!
{A little humor-- I snagged a picture of Jarrad at this week's big new start. He sure knows how to get down and dirty with his backpack vacuum and slew of microfiber rags. He'll do anything to keep your account spick and span clean! ;-)}

With Father's Day right around the corner, I'd like to say a big thanks to my own father, Dick Mansfield, who founded City Wide Maintenance of Minnesota with my help five years ago. I'm looking forward to watching the US Open with my dad and Kelly this weekend-- should be a good time!

Tyler DuBord - Facility Service Manager:
We’ve been busy this week at City Wide-- Specifically Mitch in the south, as there have been a few new starts that have all gone very smoothly. We have been able to coordinate with Mark (my north metro Night Manager) to devote some time spent helping Mitch with new starts during this busy time.

Up in the North, I had a great inspection of my largest customer this week as well. We started this particular acount on April 1st and considering how enormous this account is, we're really excelling. I was accompanied by Joe Choplin, our Director of Operations from Kansas City and Greg. Our Service Providers at this account are clicking on all cylinders day-in, day-out and have done an exceptional job keeping the customer happy. Great work to all at this account!!

I’ll be heading to the cabin this weekend to get some fishing and golfing in. Hoping for some good weather! In addition, I'll also be watching the US Open-- Let’s go Rory!

Jarrad Nickolite - Facility Service Manager:
Wow, what a busy week-- but as they say, busy is good!

I just started my first real week on my own as a Facility Service Manager and can't wait to get even more settled in. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms, so the transition has been easy!

This week we did a pretty cool project for one of our newer customers. We polished/twister padded their concrete floors in their plant. This was a relatively large area with a lot of grease and grime, but now it looks like new, with a great looking sheen finish. I would like to thank our contractor for their long hours and hard work-- this account is really taking shape. You can learn more about the HTC Diamond Twister Pad here.

This weekend my brother and I are heading to the cabin in Wisconsin to do some fishing and some much needed R and R. Should be a good time!

Kelly Mansfield - Business Development:
Finally Friday! I just love this time of the week :-) It's been a full week of golf events, new starts, and typical busy, busy, busy work taking place in the office!

On Monday, Shalee and I got the great pleasure of sponsoring Hole #1 for the IREM Golf Tournament. What a beautiful day it shaped up to be. It was fun to chit chat with fellow golfers and IREM members, spend time with Shalee outside the office, and of course soak in the beautiful sun. I even came home with a bit of a golfer's tan! ;-)

Later on this week, I assisted Mitch, Tyler, Jarrad, and the crew at a new start for an apartment complex here in the south metro. For the past year, we have been doing apartment turn-cleans for this company and have thoroughly enjoyed the account. This week marks the first ongoing cleaning of the complex though. It is a five day a week account, and the crew is responsible for entry ways, common hallways, club room, fitness center, etc. I was there to assist in the detail cleaning of the facility-- we like to make sure that our accounts start off on the "cleanest foot" possible :-)

I'm looking forward to this weekend. I think we may doing some fishing, BBQ with friends, and enjoy watching the US Open on Sunday. With Father's Day on Sunday, I am thinking of my own dad in Kansas. Happy Father's Day to one exceptional dad! :-)
