Tips & Tricks: Back To School Disinfecting

Back to school season has us thinking about cold and flu, and how to keep our families and coworkers safe from the spread of germs. In this month’s Tips and Tricks, Abby Nicholl will show you a few simple steps you can take to make sure your building remains a healthful work environment.

The key to controlling the spread of the germs in the workplace is to disinfect high-touch areas around the facility as a part of your regular cleaning process. These “hot spots” include light switches, door handles, telephones, railings and fixtures we touch repeatedly throughout the day.
Simply cleaning a surface with standard cleaning chemicals removes dirt, but not germs. Following up with a disinfectant that is the right strength and formula for the surface with kill germs that linger after a conventional clean.
