Week in Review: May 19th - 23rd

Tyler DuBord: Facility Services Manager

Spring has finally sprung and with that comes our busy season. April and May tend to be our busiest months where we perform a ton of waxing, carpet and window cleaning projects. We have several dedicated teams out and about performing work in nearly every one of our accounts that we service. With how nasty this previous winter has been, we’re finding a lot of floors are carpet needing extra attention. The salt that gets tracked in does a number on any surface. For wax projects, we use two coats of a special sealer that helps protect the tile so prevent damage or scratching deep into the tile itself. We’ve found success with this method and have noticed customers floors that we have previously waxed tends to last better than those without a sealer previously put down.

We will soon be welcoming our 4th FSM to the team. This will be a breakthrough in that this is the first time the city will be managed and split into quadrants. This will allow each team member to focus souly in their corner of the metro. This allows for less travel time to accounts and more time focusing on business. Getting excited!!

Spring also brings the nice weather (finally!) and outdoor activities. I find myself spending my free time golfing, boating, fishing, and riding the motorcycle. We’ve got plenty of trips scheduled up north to enjoy a nice Minnesota Spring.
