Week In Review: Nov 24th - 28th

Jarrad Nickolite: Facility Services Manager

Hello from the West Metro:

Winter is here!  I hope everyone has partnered with a reliable snow vendor for the remainder of the year.  If you happen to need help with your property, feel free to reach out to your FSM.

Things are still running steady on this side of the city.  We continue to bring on new business and new customers.  Our office is continuing to grow as well.....which is great for the operations side of things!
Tyler, Kirsten and I are staying busy with a large floor work and carpet cleaning project that will wrap up at the end of December.

I also have a few other projects going on myself, which consist of patching and painting walls in private offices/conference rooms.  Additionally, I have a large warehouse power washing job going on, in which we are washing concrete walls that are 32' tall and totals 300,000 sq ft!  We rented 2 scissor lifts to complete the scope of work.  Pretty cool project to be able to do!

I would like to say Happy Thanksgiving to all and safe travels.

Week In Review: Nov 17th - 21st

Mitch Brunette: Director of Operations

I’d like to begin by stating that fall came and went all too quickly, but we’ll make it through as we always do!  We’ve been launched abruptly into winter cleaning practices with special chemicals to eat up the salt on the hard floors/rugs leading into our clients lobbies. We're also using special chemicals that don’t freeze to clean the front windows, streak free, at our buildings.  On top of all that, we starting plowing a few new lots this year. We have been working with our drivers and clients to ensure snow is put where they want it.  Additionally, we make a point of applying the right applications of salt, to ensure the safety of their employees and visitors.

A continuing large project of ours is, the floor care for a group of our facilities that began in early October.  This project will run through the end of the year.  We are scrubbing and recoating tile flooring, machine scrubbing vinyl and ceramic floors, and cleaning carpet...lots of carpet!  It’s a big project to handle, but our crews are up to the challenge! Our night managers are investing their time, making sure the crews know where all the work should be completed and what the clients' expectations are.  A big thank you to Steve, Aaron, Tyler, and Jose!  -These guys are out there at night, making sure those projects run smoothly and the buildings are secure/alarms are armed.

We are very excited about adding 3 more people to our team, and we are on the hunt to fill the positions!  We are looking for an FSM to run our NW Territory. They will also be trading off accounts from Jarrad, Tyler, Kirsten and myself, to make a nice group of accounts managed up in that quadrant of the metro.  We are also working to bring on two more Night Managers to run the North metro.  They will be a big help in dedicating more time to our buildings at night, from a territory management standpoint.   With their help, we will be working on key items that keep our customers' buildings clean/organized and projects running smoothly.
Outside of the City Wide world, I’ve been traveling a lot recently.  -Some for work and some for fun.  I’ve put a bunch of hours in at the stand, hunting for the last few weeks and still have some work to do!  I am embracing our new snow and I am anxious to get out on my new cross country skis! I'll be brushing up on my skills, so I can hopefully keep up with Tyler Olson one day!  Hope everyone enjoys the winter weather and has a Happy Holiday!

Week In Review: Nov 10th - 14th

Tyler Olson: Sales Executive

It has been a very busy/exciting last two months for me!  At work, we have been adding many accounts, specifically a large number of medical clinics for one of the main providers in town.  This kept both the Sales and Operations departments moving for most of October.

At home, my wife and I recently welcomed our first baby!  We had a little girl, named Millie Joy Olson.  She was born on September 8th, which makes her almost 9 weeks old already!  So far, this has been a great experience for us!  It is so fun to watch her grow and learn so much in this first 2 months of life.  Millie took me away from work for about 2 weeks in September, but she was worth every minute!

Beyond that, I am getting very excited about cross country ski season that is finally upon us.  Although I had to drive all the way from south Minneapolis to Elk River, I managed to spent 2.5 hours on the snow earlier this week with a group of very good elite skiers.  I have and will be training for a number of big races this year, including: the American Birkibeiner (largest ski race in North America) and the US National Championships.

Hope everyone has a great upcoming holiday season!

Week In Review: Nov 3rd - 7th

Kirsten Engels: Facility Services Manager

Hi from the South Metro!

Winter is approaching and that means the snow is on its way! The last couple of weeks, we have been focusing on getting our snow plowing accounts ready. This year will be the first, plowing for some of our current customers.  It's always great to be able to provide additional services. We are here to help out with any facility needs and snow is definitely one of them!

This past week, we had a fun company event where we got to play corn hole in the office. There is a trophy that goes around in the office for fun events like this and the winner gets to take it home and have bragging rights. Tyler DuBord dominated the game and took the trophy from Sales Executive, Tyler Olson!

As for my personal life, I have been very busy visiting friends and getting ready for one of them to get married. All of us bridesmaids will be trying on dresses next weekend in Chicago. I am more than excited to be a part of this wedding!

Have a wonderful November all!
