Week In Review: Jan 26th - 30th

Mitch Brunette: Director Of Operations

Happy 2015 to everyone! I hope you had a safe and fun holiday season.  At the City Wide office, we just wrapped up our year and holiday season with a late, but very fun party at a MN Wild game.  We rented out a suite and had nearly everyone present from our company, along with a majority of their significant others. This was a very fun social event!  The Wild took good care of us (minus their loss), they had good food, snacks and a great view from our suite!

Back in the office, we’ve been busy watching our two new night managers develop into their roles and take over their territories. Alex, our new FSM for the North West metro, is taking off managing his own accounts, running a route and starting to identify additional needs in his clients’ facilities.  This has allowed me to step back from direct management of several accounts. I can now focus on the entirety of the territory, making more visits with our FSM team, and seeing 30-40 different clients a week throughout our territory!  I’ve really enjoyed the last few months- getting around to more of our accounts, meeting clients that have been with us a long time, and helping determine how we can be of further help in their sites.

It may have been posted up on the blog here already, but we had a very busy start to January! We started 12-15 new facilities on January 1st and 2nd.  It was a large group effort which involved everyone out helping at night, to get those buildings up & running.  Some of our team even worked on the holiday to get a new facility off the ground.  I always appreciate the willingness and extra effort that goes into these busier times, not only from our operations team, but also from the sales team as well.

Recently, we’ve had a couple visitors in town from different City Wide Operations teams and have really enjoyed their company.  Each of them came to visit us for different reasons, to learn some of our behaviors and best practices, so they could take that back to their office & improve their presence in their respective cities.  It is always fun to have visitors in town. In exchange, we get to gain a lot from them as well.  Happy 2015 again to everyone, and thanks for reading!
