Week In Review: Jan 25th - 29th

Tyler DuBord: Facility Services Manager

Hola! from the northeast metro! I feel like I am fluent in Spanish, having just returned from vacation down in Cozumel, Mexico. Great times were had by all and the weather was gorgeous every day. As imagined, it was difficult to come back with the cold temps and snow in the forecast, but that's why we Minnesotans migrate south during the winter, right?

On the topic of snow, it appears we have potential for a large snow storm early next week. We have snow crews preparing to help service our customers' lots throughout the Metro area. Snow removal is a service we offer at competitive pricing and with excellent crews ready to provide excellent service. Often, I hear from clients that their existing snow vendors have trouble with either arriving on time, they have higher pricing, they do sloppy plowing (missing areas), and/or have a lack of salt application when needed. We pride ourselves on effective planning, by monitoring weather conditions in specific areas, in preparation for ice/snow totals, etc. Please consult one of your Facility Service Managers for a competitive and accurate bid for your lot.

Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable winter!

Week In Review: Jan 18th - 22nd

Tyler Olson: Sales Executive

It’s been an exciting couple of months for me, on both a professional and personal level.  Professionally, we finished out 2015 on a good note.  We recently brought on a new Sales Associate and have been working to get him running at full speed.  He is one of my friends whom I have known for many years, and worked with at my previous company.  I also started the new year with a promotion to our Senior Sales Executive.  I am very excited about both situations and where we will be able to take the sales department at City Wide, in 2016!

Personally, life has been a whirlwind.  The holidays are always busy, and my family had a great time celebrating with family and friends this year.  It was very fun to watch my daughter at her first Christmas in which she was old enough to open presents and enjoy the experience.

Our daughter is now 16 months old, and we are expecting to grow our family in 2016.  We have another little bundle of joy arriving in May this year.  Over the Christmas season, we found out that it will be another little girl!  I will be severely outnumbered, male to female, when she arrives.  We are very excited to meet the new little one and see what she is like.

Beyond that, I am in the midst of cross country ski season and spending a lot of time on the little bit of snow that we have.

That about sums up my life since the last blog post.

Week In Review: Jan 11th - 15th

Jarrad Nickolite: Facility Services Manager

Hello from the West Metro,

Things on this side of town have been relatively steady for January. I recently started a new account in the Eden Prairie area and it turns out that my contact and I have a mutual friend.  Things are going well there and I'm excited to continue that relationship and help with their facility needs.

We also have several other great opportunities coming up and I can't wait to get those kicked off!

Seems a bit weird, but I've been busy with carpet and floor work this month.  I have a few customers that have open houses the last part of January, and they always clean their carpets and complete their floor work, so the facility is in top shape for their event.

Holy cow, has it been cold the last few weeks!  I guess the only good thing about it is....it's making ice for the ice fishermen.  I had the opportunity this past weekend, to get out with Mitch on Cedar Lake. For the few hours we were out, we were able to catch a mess of perch.  We had a good time, considering how cold it was!

Week In Review: Jan 4th - 8th

Joel Willert: Facility Services Manager

Greetings from the Central Metro,
I hope everyone enjoyed the Holidays and is having a great start to the New Year.   I was able to spend some quality time with my family and go back home, to Wisconsin, where I enjoyed some ice fishing.
Now that winter seems to officially be here, and the snow is on the ground, our snow removal crews are working hard to keep the lots and sidewalks clear.  Let your FSM know if you are looking for a competitive bid for all your snow removal needs.
It’s also not too late to think about a yearly maintenance program that we can provide for your facility.  We are here to help you keep your building looking top notch throughout the year!
I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Don’t forget to bundle up for the extremely cold weather that can soon be expected!

Week In Review: Dec 28th - Jan 1st

Alex Underwood: Facility Services Manager

Happy Holidays from the Northwest Metro,

I hope everyone was able to enjoy some time off with friends and family, to enjoy the holidays. My girlfriend and I had many family gatherings, but were able to stay local, which allowed us to spend some time at home as well.

Now that winter seems to have come to stay, I hope that everyone is able to enjoy the weather. I enjoy being outside during all seasons. I'm excited for winter, so I can fire up the snowmobile and wax the snowboard.  With the unusually warm fall/beginning to winter we had, it delayed the snow fall and freezing of the lakes, so I am ready to hit the slopes, trails, and lakes for fishing.

We are keeping very busy in the northwest metro, completing some special projects over the holidays while many businesses are closed down. This time gives us an opportunity to work on some additional detail cleaning items and is always a great time to get some late season carpet cleaning and VCT work done.

With the snow starting to fly, our snow removal teams are all working hard to keep our facilities looking great and safe for customers and employees.

Once again Happy Holidays and I hope everyone is excited for the New Year.

Cheers
