Week In Review: April 25th - 29th

Mitch Brunette: Director of Operations

Happy Spring to all, even though it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster so far!  It seems like the mornings and evenings have been cooler lately, and the mid-day hasn’t been quite as hot as it was for a couple weeks there in March.  A weird start to the year, but we’ll take it!

There is a lot going on in our territory, around the entire metro, as we support existing clients and bring aboard new ones.  These last few weeks, we started up a large group of medical facilities that required 10-12 of us out on the weekend, helping kick off the cleaning with our new crews!  Jarrad had mentioned it a bit last week, but now it’s mostly behind us.  We’ve started cleaning these new locations, fine-tuned the crews, and established good relationships with our new client base.  Not a bad way to kick off Q2!

As for supporting our existing clients, you probably hear a lot from us in the spring time, as we discuss projects, spring cleaning, and organization of these maintenance programs.  It’s that time and we are in full swing!  Every day, it seems that I have someone reaching out for some new project to be priced or considered, new types of services being offered, and old ones being rescheduled to keep our buildings in order.

Outside the office, I’ve been very busy turning my jungle of a backyard into a much better view!  I’ve been pulling buck thorn, small trees that don’t belong, weeds, old stumps, and exposing black dirt that needs some wood-like grasses planted.  I’m on the hunt for the perfect seed to take on the space and require minimal maintenance.  Aside from that, I’ve been moving furniture around the house, rearranging rooms, painting and getting things in order for an eventful summer!  Have a great spring everyone, and please reach out if you need any quotes or ideas for your property!

Week In Review: April 11th - 15th

Facility Services Manager: Tyler DuBord

Greetings again from the Northeast Metro. It appears that Spring has finally sprung! Looking forward to the 60’s and even 70 degree temps later this week, which will certainly provide ample opportunity to hit the golf course. Hopefully everyone is able to get out and enjoy this springtime weather, that we so, infrequently, experience here in Minnesota.

April marks the beginning of our busy season, where we provide a number of Spring cleaning projects. Projects include floor stripping and waxing, ceramic tile deep cleaning, window cleaning, and carpet cleaning. Other projects include parking lot sweeping and landscape clean up. City Wide Maintenance of MN also provides parking lot repair services to include crack filling, sealcoating, and even line striping. Please contact your Facility Services Manager for a competitive proposal, for these Spring services.

Week In Review: April 4th - 8th

Jarrad Nickolite: Facility Services Manager

Hello from the West Metro:

Things continue to be steady in my territory, but we are all about to get very busy.  Our entire office has been prepping and planning for an upcoming customer, that will demand nearly everyone’s attention for several nights.  I’m really excited to get the business implemented and back on track, as we continue the good working relationship.

Spring is here….well kind of.  The weather has been a bit up and down.  However, carpets, hard floor care, and window cleaning should be the next services on everyone’s list.  Please reach out to your FSM if you need these services scheduled.  My colleagues and I have been lining up these services for most of our customers in April or May.

On a personal note, I can tell you that I’m ready for the fishing opener.  This year, I have decided to do much less traveling to fish, but instead, just fish local tournaments around the metro with a friend.  There are a ton of lakes in the area that are plum-full of fish! I'm pretty excited to see what this year will bring!

I hope everyone has a great spring.

Week In Review: March 28th - April 1st

Joel Willert: Facility Services Manager

I hope everyone enjoyed the Easter Holiday!  Hopefully the snow is done and we can begin to enjoy the warmer weather!
With Spring here, now is the time to get your facilities cleaned up after the snow and salt have been tracked in throughout the winter months.  Carpet cleaning, window washing, and power washing/sweeping of parking lots and sidewalks are some common services we provide, to keep them looking top notch.  Additionally, we provide lawn care and landscaping, sealing & recoating, overlays, patching and line striping, and concrete work for your parking lots and sidewalks.  Be sure to get in touch with your FSM and they will be happy to provide a free estimate for you!
With the lakes no longer frozen, I am getting excited to get in the boat and get the fishing season started.  I have multiple fishing tournaments lined up this year. My first one is the St. Jude’s Bass Classic on the Mississippi River.  Not only do we get to enjoy a few days of fishing, but all of the anglers fundraise to fish in the tournament, which in turn, helps out the families with children in the St. Jude’s Hospital.  Because of events like this one, no families ever receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food- the only thing a family should worry about, is helping their child live.
