Company Holiday Party

Alex Underwood: Facility Services Manager

Happy Holidays from the Northwest Metro,

Hope everyone is having a great winter.  Can you believe it is already time for Christmas?!  The holidays are a great time to get together with family and friends, especially the ones we don't see very often so it is always a fun time of year.  Along with family and friends, Holiday parties are a great time to get together outside the office with co workers and meet their families and significant others.  We had our company party on Friday, 12/15 at the Westin Galleria in Edina, which is always a great place to gather. This is the second year in a row we have had our company party at this location and once again it did not disappoint.

We had a great sit down dinner and had the opportunity to see many husbands and wives of coworkers that we don't get a chance to see very often.  City Wide Maintenance of Minnesota President, Greg Mansfield, gave a nice speech highlighting some of our accomplishments from 2017 and talked about some new company goals of 2018.

We also do a small awards ceremony unlike any other. Typically most award ceremonies highlight people or teams that do an outstanding job throughout the year, but ours is a little different.  We highlight and give awards to those who do something funny or unique throughout the year, so we can all get a good laugh reminiscing about the different events from the year.  I myself, won one of the prestigious awards this year, for the amount of pine tree air fresheners I have in my car. As they run out and need to be replaced, instead of removing the old one, I just hang a new one over the old ones. As you could imagine, there ends up being quite a few before I reset and throw them all away.

As you can tell, we have a pretty good time at City Wide and we really capitalize on the opportunity to get together outside the office and really get to know each other on a more personal level.

I hope you all have a great holiday season!

Cheers to a great 2018 for everyone!!!
